The 67 Pall Mall Group is a collection of Members’ Clubs devoted to fine wine. The Singapore Club opened its doors in Shaw Centre Penthouse which is located in the heart of Orchard Road in February 2022.

Timberix™ microperforated V3.6/1.8/0.5 acoustic panels were chosen to reduce chatter reverberations and create a comfortable dining experience.

The surface was finished in dark walnut veneer with a matte lacquer application. The adjacent pieces of veneer are pieced side by side so that the grain in each piece flows seamlessly into the next. This creates a mirror image effect that is both beautiful and symmetrical.

Wakuda is a Japanese restaurant by chef Tetsuya Wakuda who has 2 Michelin stars. Kyriacou Architects designed the restaurant with good acoustics in consideration.

The microperforated V3.6/1.8/0.5 panels have an estimated 500,000 holes per 1 square meter. The micro holes allow sound to pass through the surface and be absorbed by the acoustic substrate behind.

As a bespoke project, Timberix collaborated with Japanese artist Jun Inoue to have his artwork painted on the acoustic panels. The panels were flown to Japan to be painted before installing them in the restaurant. The original artwork on the Timberix panels is titled “The Ingredients That Arrived”.
